A forum for people with knowledge of the Bible in its original languages to discuss its manuscripts and textual history from the perspective of historic evangelical theology.
I would probably prefer a combination of darker colors in the background, perhaps avoid the red altogether
ReplyDeleteUm...yuck. Sorry... Liked the red much, much better.
ReplyDeleteI have a difficult time distinguishing the links (on my Mac with Safari) with the new colors.
ReplyDeleteWe will wait for more comments and then we will try out another combination.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I prefer black on white. Whatever you choose, try to avoid inverted colours (light letters on dark background)since many people find this difficult to read...
ReplyDeletebut light background is not good for your eyes, very aggressive, I find.
ReplyDeleteactually the present go is much easier to read than the former. i'm sorry i don't know what the colors are properly called- but the peach background with the brown lettering is fairly pleasant.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Apricot, or should I look for another.
ReplyDeleteBetter,yet yet not good enough
ReplyDeleteNot a good colour!! This hurts the eye.
ReplyDeleteI liked the burgundy before.
I like the background, but please the lettering a little bit darker.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Good background color. But the text needs to be a little darker.
ReplyDeleteYou should try using a free template rather than just going with a custom color scheme. There are some really nice ones out there! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to make an image header for you. I have a sample if you're interested. Just e-mail me and I can send it. I created one with Sinaiticus blurred in the background and with ETC (spelled out fully, of course) in the foreground (I used the Trajan Pro type). I can tweak it to what is preferred.
ReplyDeleteWhy not just switch to Wordpress?
ReplyDeleteJeremy, yes you can e-mail your suggestion to me at tomwas[at]spray[dot]se. We will take a look at it.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous: I think Blogger has been good for us thus far, and especially now that I have spent hours trying to learn about some new features a switch would probably be unwise, also meaning a new webaddress.
I don't like the old colors or the new colors. But I had no trouble reading either.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that the change of NT Gateway came along with a change of colors. I liked the colors Goodacre had on his old version. Now that he's not using them any more, maybe ETC could copy them.
Ooh, gross!
ReplyDeleteThe apricot is not pleasant to look at or read. I always liked the old look.
ReplyDeleteThe current scheme is the best yet.
