Some folk at UCLA have created an on-line catalogue of on-line digitised manuscripts (meaning I think digital images of complete manuscripts). The site is here, and worth a visit (although the search facilities don't seem to include subjects and it is hard to tell what the manuscripts are). For a discussion and some background see here. Wow! Thanks for the link. There are some beautiful handwritten miniscule manuscripts there, not to mention the technical drawings that accompany some of the text. Fascinating!
