Who are these?

I wonder if anyone can help me identify the textual critics in these ten photos. Who occurs twice?

    Well, #2 is Tischendorf, and #8 is Hort; #4 (a poor photo) appears to be John Wevers?

    #5 looks like Bart Ehrman. Perhaps he had to wear old fashion clothes at MBI.

    None of them are very happy. Only the older Tischendorf has the hint of a smile. Perhaps "discovering" Sinaiticus made him happy.

    #7 is Tischendorf for sure. I can even make out in the photo that he is tucking away a stolen manuscript in his pocket.

    I can see what Peter means about the resemblances of #5. #5 is not Margolis, though he is known for his work on the Septuagint.

    Peter, thanks for pointing out my goof on Westcott (now amended)—all part of an attempt to get less usual photos.

    So far we have:
    1 Westcott
    2 Tischendorf
    4 Wevers
    7 Tischendorf
    8 Hort
    10 Burgon

    Peter Head has correctly surmised that #9 is a clergyman. He will also have a chapter devoted to him in a forthcoming work that will survey the history of NT textual criticism.

    I will start with other clues soon if there's no further advance.

    Call it a pseudofacsimile if you must, but a photographic representation it isn't.

    10 is burgon; 9 is Bengal; 8 is Hort; 7 & 2 are Tischendorf; 6 is Skeat; 5 is Wilhelm Bousset (Religionsgeschichliche Schule); The profile of one suggests and English or Dutch scholar - unknown to me. The photo I have of Rahlfs is without beard. Sorry that's the best I can do.

    So #3 is the image that foxed people. It is, of course, the person who changed his name since #6 changed what followed his name when he resigned as FBA (Fellow of the British Academy).

    #3 published editions of primary texts in many languages. He was also notoriously anti-Semitic.
