Plenty of Textual Criticism at SBL

The SBL program for Washington in November is now on-line (here). There is plenty of textual criticism, not only in the New Testament Textual Criticism section, which has three sessions this year (S18-13 with two ETCers: Holmes & Head; S19-25; S21-18: with one ETCer: Williams), but also in additional sessions on the Freer Biblical Manuscripts (S17-52) and on Biblical Manuscripts of St. Catherine’s Monastery (S18-55). The Papyrology and New Testament also intersects with textual criticism at points in its two sessions (S18-122: Barker on P.Oxy 1780 = P39; S19-68: a discussion of Hurtado's forthcoming book The Earliest Christian Artifacts: Manuscripts and Christian Origins).

    Stephen, there is still a bit of work to do on the paper. The end of August will be taken up with disproving that the Gospel of John has a Prologue consisting of 1:1-18.
