Uppsala professor Jim Kelhoffer tells me that Uppsala University declares the following position to be open for application:
Postdoctoral Fellow in New Testament Exegesis
at the Department of Theology for a period of two years, beginning per agreement.
The Faculty of Theology is the oldest of ten faculties at Uppsala University and encompasses all areas of religious studies at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels (M.A. and PhD): History of Religions, Biblical Studies, Church and Mission Studies, Systematic Theology, Ethics, Psychology of Religion, and Sociology of Religion. The Faculty of Theology is one of Sweden’s largest institutions for education and research in theology and religious studies.
The position as Postdoctoral Fellow in New Testament Exegesis involves primarily pursuing a research project of choice (e.g. a new monograph project beyond the published dissertation).
Kelhoffer tells me that research in textual criticism is welcome. If anyone is interested I can assist with advise.

Research Associate in Papyrology in Oxford (Oxyrhynchus Papyri)
University of Oxford Faculty of Classics Research Associate in Papyrology
Applications are invited for the post of a Research Associate in Papyrology in the Department of Classics, University of Oxford, to work on the Oxyrhynchus Papyri research project. This is a joint project of the University of Oxford and University College London, and has recently received funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council until 31 August 2015.
The person appointed will hold a doctorate or equivalent and have substantial experience in handling and/or editing papyri. An excellent knowledge of Ancient Greek, and wide experience with the scripts of the papyri, are essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Oxyrhynchus Papyri collection in the Sackler library and for enabling the research of those involved in the project.
The fixed-term appointment will run from 1 October 2010 to 30 September 2011. The salary for this post, which is 0.8 FTE (Full Time Equivalent), is £28,983.00 - £30,747.00 (Grade 7, points 29-31), at 80% pro rata. The starting salary will be dependent on skills and experience. The postholder will be based in the Papyrology Rooms, the Sackler Library, 1 St John Street, Oxford, OX1 2LG.

2 year fellowship at the K.U. Leuven
This could be of interest to some of our readers:
The Katholieke Universiteit Leuven announces a 2 year research fellowship, starting in October 2010, to work on a project entitled "The Tree of Texts: Towards an empirical model for text transmission and evolution". This project will be carried out at the Faculty of Arts, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Caroline Macé.
Profile
The candidate has a PhD or a Master degree (with research experience) in a field of study related to computer sciences applied to the humanities. The candidate should be able to design a database, apply statistical tools, and draw mathematical models. Some experience in digital philology would be an advantage, but at least an interest in textual scholarship is required.
Description of the work
The first step in the research process will consist in creating a data base where data coming from different manuscript traditions in different languages will be gathered and structured.
The data will be analysed according to the following questions: what types of variations occur, can these types be divided into sub‐types, do all these variations occur in all types of texts / manuscripts, are some variants reversible and others irreversible, are there indisputable (objective) criteria to distinguish between "original" (or primary) readings and "derived" (or secondary) readings, etc.
