  2. Parker's review is astounding in its level of detail. There is also a section of it precisely oriented on the question of what is meant by "original text." I was about to copy and paste it, but I realized it's a bit too long to paste into a comment I think. But Parker shows precisely the kind of aversion to the term that I was suggesting of Ehrman in my comments on the recent post about inerrantist terminology. And he explicates that aversion with a series of questions we all need to keep in mind when we use terms like "original" without awareness of the other paradigms within which someone might work.
