Faithful readers, we are fast approaching the SBL meeting in Denver. Normally, this would entail a happy announcement about our annual blog dinner. Unfortunately, we have had great difficulty in securing a place to have it. We reached out to several churches with no luck. We checked on several restaurants too. One wanted $7,000 just to reserve the space. Obviously we cannot do that. We are hoping not to have to cancel this year, but the situation is dire.
So, we are posting here in the hope that one of our readers in Denver may have a lead on a venue that could host our annual dinner gathering. We are looking for a space that could hold 50-60 people. We can handle the dinner side, but we need a space.
