Dirk, Thanks for the link! That is one extremely interesting and informative article. These texts seem to confirm that the scribes involved in the copying of the Jewish scriptures were meticulous, even in the passing along of their scribal habits.
So, if Torah scrolls were used for public reading, what was the function of a Biblical codex, like the "two oldest and best" cited here? Are most extant copies of the Masoretic Text scrolls or codices?
