Cambridge Library Collection Sale
Griesbach, Westcott, Hort, Buttmann, Lachmann, Scrivener, Tregelles, Swete, Brooke, McLean, Thackeray ...
Do these names sound familiar? Eisenbrauns is currently offering 20% off on titles by these authors in the Cambridge Library Collection.
The Cambridge Library Collection has a wealth of classic textual critical and other 19th century resources in it.
Is it called a 'library collection' because they are all the sort of (out-of-date) books that only belong in libraries?
ReplyDeleteAnd after looking over the list, virtually all of these are freely available in PDF on the internet from Google Books or Archive.org.
ReplyDeleteSo will anyone besides text-critically deficient libraries actually buy such material?
I still enjoy holding a book and turning pages made of actual paper!
ReplyDeleteMy computer-linked printer does that for me (when necessary).
ReplyDeleteThis should be compared to the materials (and prices) at the Sola Scriptura Publishing website.
