Thanks for the link to my post.
As you me...Tommy,

Thanks for the link to my post.

As you mentioned, we're currently working on devising a way to exclude hits within bracketed text. We currently have the ability to do this, but the search requires balanced brackets. For the DSS corpus their transcription methodology is a bit different and bracketed text is always balanced. This is a quite complicated issue, but I've already got a solid idea on how to work around it that I hope to have available in the next update.

As you pointed out, there is no substitute for checking your work. In preparation for my paper I verified search hits against the print edition of CB, the editio princeps, images, as well as the INTF's transcription site. I then took the results of the searches and updated the tables in Paap/O'Callaghan (with the MSS included in this corpus). I'm happy to report that with this new edition the margin of error for these forms if very low. As I continue to do more research in this area we will improve upon the accuracy and usefulness of this tool.

Thanks again for the mention, and for doing a very fine job in chairing the section in Rome. :)Rick Bennetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06790007383354847756noreply@blogger.com
